UTSA's College of AI, Cyber and Computing (CAICC) is driven by the goals of educating students in artificial intelligence (AI), computing, cybersecurity, and data science and achieving global recognition as a world-class public research university that is future-oriented and urban-serving. CAICC positions the university as a leader in the rapidly evolving landscape of advanced technologies by strengthening the economic and workforce impact through the production of highly skilled and innovative graduates, not only for San Antonio but across Texas, the nation, and beyond.
CAICC is comprised of four academic departments, 8 bachelor's degrees, and six minors.
Degree-Specific Requirements

All degree programs in the Department of Information Systems and Cybersecurity and the Department of Statistics and Data Science must complete all graduation requirements and adhere to department and college policies for the Carlos Alvarez College of Business within the 2024-2026 undergraduate catalog. The new Bachelor of Science degree requirements for Cybersecurity, as well as Information Systems and Technology, will be published in the 2026-2028 catalog for the traditional in-person attendance format. After the 2026-2028 Undergraduate Catalog is published, students will be able to officially declare the new B.S. degrees with their Academic Advisor, according to the approved university policies and timelines.
The degree program in the Department of Computer Engineering maintains the same Admission Policy and degree requirements, including Gateway Courses, Three-Attempt Limit, and Signature Experience requirements, as the Klesse College of Engineering and Integrated Design, in addition to any department or degree-specific requirements.
